With Shanghai, China's largest economic and trade city and its own unique geographical advantages, the textile and garment industry exports are on a growing trend every year.
In 2018, China's foreign trade operations were generally stable and progress was made. The total value of foreign trade imports and exports for the year was US$4.62 trillion, an increase of 12.6%; among them, exports were US$2.48 trillion, an increase of 9.9%; imports were US$2.14 trillion, an increase of 15.8%. At the same time, China's textile and apparel foreign trade has achieved steady growth for two consecutive years. In 2018, the national textile and apparel exports were US$276.73 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%, and imports were US$26.14 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. In 2018, my country's textile exports amounted to US$119.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%.
In January 2019, my country’s exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were 11.412 billion U.S. dollars; in the same period in 2018, it was 9.9544 billion U.S. dollars, a cumulative increase of 14.6% year-on-year.
In January 2019, my country exported 13.650.8 billion US dollars of clothing and clothing accessories; in the same period of 2018, it was 12.989 billion US dollars, a cumulative increase of 5.1% year-on-year.
The Organizing Committee will hold the "2020 Shanghai International Textile Fabrics and Accessories Expo" at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from November 16-18, 2020. This exhibition will provide a professional trade negotiation platform for exhibitors and purchasers of surface materials.
